School Innovation GreenMinds Lab

🌱 School Innovation GreenMinds Lab (SIGML)– A New Initiative for Lilongwe Schools as part of Corporate Social Responsibility. HarvestGlow is excited to introduce School Innovation GreenMinds Lab (SIGML), a dynamic new initiative designed to transform how young people in Lilongwe understand agriculture, technology, and environmental stewardship. This pilot program will begin with 5 selected schools, each establishing its own Innovation Garden, where students will learn by doing growing crops, testing new climate-smart practices, and integrating simple agri-technologies.

SFIL aims to inspire a new generation of young innovators by blending practical farming skills, agricultural science, and introductory agri-tech tools such as soil moisture sensors, organic pest-management experiments, and beginner coding for agriculture. Through hands-on learning, students will gain real-world skills that improve food security, promote sustainable farming, and nurture creativity.

🎯 Target Reach: The pilot phase is designed to reach a minimum of 500 students across the five schools engaging learners from upper primary to secondary levels. Each school will involve: Agriculture clubs, Environmental clubs, Science and innovation teams, Interested teachers and community volunteers, The long-term goal is to scale this initiative across Masonga and beyond other schools, supporting schools to become hubs of agricultural innovation and youth empowerment.
